Meet the Speaker

Ryan P. Ames hales from and practices in Oshkosh, WI. He owns InSight Eye Care, a two-location practice with 3.21 doctors. He attended Drake University for undergrade, the Illinois College of Optometry, and finally earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.

Dr. Ames practices full scope optometry, from Infant See Exams to YAG’s, SLT’s, and LPI’s. He has served in every role within the Wisconsin Optometric Association through his presidency in 2023 and continues to serve as the Third-Party Chair and consultant to the association. In his spare time, he writes documentation and coding articles for industry journals and consults for RevolutionEHR.

Keeping him grounded, he is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have two amazing but sometimes infuriating teens. When he’s not talking about proper documentation and coding practices, he loves to show pictures of his self-built campervan or his 1963 P-35 Bonanza airplane…she’s a beaut!

This is a complimentary event. 

Registration is open to all doctor-owners and staff members from each practice who coordinate benefits when billing VSP. Each attendee should register separately.  

This interactive workshop will cover essential program requirements, billing best practices and key opportunities to get the most out of VSP's contact lens programs.  

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for complimentary dinner and networking time with fellow attendees. The workshop runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
