Utilize the resort's beach cruisers and explore the islands 30+ miles of paved trails and 10 miles of hard packed beach.

Pedaling at a leisurely pace, your search for Kiawah's wildlife begins as soon as the seats are adjusted. Traveling through different habitats while exposing you to Kiawah's unique flora and fauna, the eyes of Kiawah Island Golf Resort Naturalist bring to life the amazing natural world. As you wind through paved trails in remote areas of the island, keep on the lookout for deer, raccoons, snakes, alligators, birds, and even the occasional bobcat. Your ride finishes on the beach in search of seashells, horseshoe crabs, and Loggerhead Sea Turtle nests.

With every step, Kiawah Island offers an abundance of interesting and amazing wildlife. Taking off on foot and exploring the butterfly gardens, ponds, dune thicket, maritime forest, and beach, you'll be on the lookout for alligators, turtles, several species of birds, insects, and anything else that walks, crawls, swims, or flies your way. With more than 230 bird species, 18 mammals, 60 types of reptiles and amphibians, and countless insects and marine life, this tour is a great way to be acquainted with an overview of all possible life forms on a barrier island. Distance traveled is approximately 1 mile roundtrip.

All levels welcome! In this class, participants have the option of choosing from several available paintings inspired by Kiawah Island. Art instructors will offer step by step instruction alongside you to ensure you leave with an enjoyable experience and completed painting.

This tour is a combination Dolphin Encounter, Oyster Tasting, and Oyster Farm tour.  You’ll sample different variety oysters and clams while on the boat cruising to the Aqua Culture Farm. Everyone gets up to a dozen fresh oysters/clams. Your guide will tell you about the importance of the Lowcountry saltmarsh, oyster farming methods and conservation, all while enjoying a leisurely cruise taking in the sights and sounds around you.
