Phernell Walker is a nationally renowned and sought after speaker with a passion for optics and optometric business strategy. His published textbook, Pure Optics, is used in optometry and opticianry colleges. Phernell is one of only a few hundred people to earn the Master in Ophthalmic Optics (ABOM). He is certified by the both the American Board of Opticianry (ABOC) and National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLEC). He currently serves as the Vice President of Optometric Relations at Eyefinity, a VSP Vision™ company, and as the Chair of the American Board of Opticianry.

Chris Wroten, O.D., is COO of Bond-Wroten Eye Clinics in Louisiana. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from LSU, an optometry degree, and completed his residency at Memphis VA Medical Center. Chris leads residency and externship programs, teaches as Adjunct Faculty, has held leadership positions in professional optometry organizations, served on boards, lectured internationally, and participated in clinical research.

Ryan P. Ames is an optometrist in Oshkosh, WI, and owns InSight Eye Care with two locations. He studied at Drake University, Illinois College of Optometry, and earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Dr. Ames practices full-scope optometry, has held multiple leadership roles in the Wisconsin Optometric Association, and serves as Third-Party Chair and consultant. He consults for RevolutionEHR and contributes articles to industry journals. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, shares updates on his campervan project, and flies his 1963 P-35 Bonanza airplane.

Chris Perry, of VSP's Global Innovation Center, leads the Emerging Technology team in exploring how AI and cutting-edge technologies are shaping the future of eye care. Through rapid prototyping and hands-on experimentation, Perry brings new advancements, experiences, and business models into VSP's line of sight. Prior to VSP, Chris held product and operations roles at Apple and Verizon Wireless where he focused on consumer pricing and product strategy. He lives in Folsom, CA with his wife and two children, and can often be found on a soccer sideline or a ski slope.

Bryan Hoban began his career as an analyst and junior loan officer at a community bank, focusing on small business. In 2012, Bryan joined PECAA to apply his skills and experience to help PECAA Max members analyze and elevate their business. He enjoys working with the rest of the Member Business Associates team to help PECAA members understand and enact positive changes in their practice.
